Kafé Kréyol-la

To celebrate its love for both the French and Creole cultures of our community, the West Baton Rouge Museum is hosting this monthly program for anyone seeking a space to speak, learn, or simply support the Louisiana Creole language and culture. Of course, refreshments will be provided since you can’t have a true South Louisiana gathering without some coffee and something to snack on while you chat. Their presenter for Pride month will be Chrys Bourgeois-Green, who'll give a presentation on Louisiana's LGBTQ+ communities and their history. His presentation will include topics such as the 1973 UpStairs Lounge fire and various LGBTQ+ Mardi Gras krewes such as Yuga, active from 1958 to 1962, and Armeinius, which was established in 1968.845 N Jefferson Ave, Port Allen, LA, United States, Louisiana 70767
