second episode: Tunica: an indigenous language with dr. nathan wendte
In this episode, we speak with Dr. Nathan Wendte in order to understand the situation of the Tunica language. The Tunica language is spoken by the Tunica-Biloxi but, unfortunately, this language has declined in the community after the death of Sesostrie Youchigant in 1915. Fortunately, due to the work of Mary Haas who recorded him before his death, linguists can construct and develop this language for the modern-day nation.
